Both of my kids had birthdays in the last month. Jesse's 27th was July 4th. We celebrated by going to the fireworks at the MTC grounds, which was right near the Stadium of Fire. We had a picnic and the Edwards joined us.
Christie's 23rd birthday was today. We celebrated by using the webcam to see her inArizona and Jesse, Karina, Don, Lilly and I sang her "Happy Birthday". I'm so glad I got to see her beautiful face on the webcam!
Heavenly Father must have loved me very much to send me these two special spirit to raise. I have the best kids.....they were both a joy to raise and to love. I wish I had more kids though....it's kind of sad to have them both grown up.
I love you, Jesse and Christie! Thanks for letting me be your Mom!

I guess we all have regrets about how we parented. I remember some things that I wish I hadn't done. But mostly I think I was a great Mom. I loved those days of being home with my kids, all the summers swimming in our pool, and all the things that go along with being a parent. The little kid kisses were the best. I'm glad you get to enjoy it now and I know YOU are a super mom!!!

Funny, I always thought "I" had the best kids! lol Christie is wonderful but I never met Jesse. Of course I am jealous that that they are married AND you have a grandbaby. Continue soaking it in!
Kids really are just the best!! I'm so grateful for each of mine. I wish we had lived closer while they were growing up. I love it when parents find joy in raising their children. I'm sure they're extra glad to have you as a mom.
