Lilly turned 3 on Saturday! It seems like only yesterday that she turned 1 and her Grandma Carol and I were both worrying she would choke on the strawberries that she was guzzling! Anyway, this year we decided to take Lilly somewhere for her birthday. We asked her if she wanted to go see "Monsters VS Aliens", but no...she wanted to go to the Monte L. Bean Museum of Natural History on the BYU campus! No amount of persuasion could make her pick the movie. So Don, Lilly and I went to the museum. She enjoyed it a lot and we did too...if you can enjoy a huge place full of dead, stuffed animals and gigantic spiders and bugs. She got to touch a real (stuffed) penguin. We made a trip to the museum store where she picked out a toy for $2.99. Then we went to the mall and let her pick out her birthday present at the Disney Store. She was so good...she looked at lots of things and finally decided on a Princess Tea Set with a cart, a Sleeping Beauty doll and a nightgown. After that we went to Desert Book and had pie, a cookie and milk. Karina and Jesse had us to dinner too. Lilly had requested hot dogs and homemade macaroni and cheese. We got to sing happy birthday to her and watch her open her presents from Mom and Dad. It was a wonderful day!
Don's foot/ankle seems to be less swollen than it was. Tomorrow he goes for a heart ultrasound and after that I don't know what will be next. I'm sure his heart is fine. The EKG was normal. Maybe it really was a reaction to the med he took in January. It's a mystery!
I'm now up to 49 minutes on the Wii Fit and still love it and look forward to doing it every day that I can! My clothes are fitting better and I feel thinner, even if I'm not. I'm moving around better, too. Last week I was able to do the "freeze dance" with my preschoolers for the first time all year.
I'm so grateful for all my blessings. I love Conference. It is so soothing and reminds me to do better. I love our new ward. I love my kids SO MUCH and also my kids-in-law, Karina and Travis, and of course Lilly, and all my sisters and their families and my mom back east and Don's family here. We are so blessed.

Sounds like you are a very Thankful person. It's a wonderful thing to be thankful. Hey, I want to see some pictures on your blog. haven't seen pictures of Lily for a while.
That sounds like a wonderful birthday for your sweet little granddaughter! And I am glad that Don's foot is getting better.
It is peaceful to read of someone else's gentle peaceful life, despite the struggles. I hope Don is okay. Going through some of the same stuff here with David.
I'm so glad things are going so well!
What a fun birthday for Lilly....lucky little girl to have such fun grandparents. It was so much fun to see you if only for just a little while at the MM reunion. I'm glad Don's foot seems better and that you are enjoying excercising. Have a wonderful Easter. Love you.
