Earthquake!!!!
On the night Christie and Travis arrived (January 4, 2010) we felt an earthquake! Well, I should say Don, Travis and Christie did. Don sat straight up in bed and said "What what THAT?" I awoke and said I didn't hear anything and went back to sleep. He came out of the bedroom and talked to Christie and Travis. Christie said she thought Travis had fallen down the stairs and Travis, who was downstairs, thought a big gust of wind had hit the house. Don said our bedroom door had rattled really hard and he also thought the mirrors attached to our chest of drawers had banged against the wall. They all check the internet and found there had been a 2.9 earthquake centered just a couple of miles from here! Even though I didn't feel it, it left me spooked all night and for the next few days. Scary stuff!

Fun! Glad nobody was hurt.
So scarey. I was in 5th grade when I was awoken by an earthquake. (and we all know that's been a while) I'm kind of glad you didn't feel it. That would have really freaked you out.
Hey Pat, I had to laugh when I checked your blog! You have got it all figured out! If you leave the theme on long enough it will come back into the correct season! Just teasing you~ Hope you are doing well and that you are having a good New Year. We don't see or hear much from Trav and Christie. Just plugging away! Love, Kathryn
The first time our family felt an earthquake our daughter was little. She, her Daddy, and I were all standing and visiting by the bedroom window. I saw her stretch out her hand and touch the glass! The house shook! She quickly removed her finger from the glass and it stopped. We stood looking at one another. She reached out and touched the window again and the house shook again! I said " Stop that." She'd already withdrawn her hand, and the shaking had stopped. Again we all looked at each other as reason sunk in! EARTHQUAKE! :)
We quickly removed her from the area of the glass, and luckily there were no more tremors! We did have a good laugh about it! It still makes me laugh thinking I could possibly think this little sweet thing could touch the window and cause the house to shake! :) Timing's everything! :) grin
