I finally got to post!

I don't understand why sometimes my blog lets me post but most of the time the option to post isn't even listed at the top. Does that make sense?

I went to my eye checkup and the pressure in the right eye was 18 (down from 25) and the left eye was 17 (down from 25). The doctor is hoping it will fall further as the swelling goes down inside the eye. But I sensed that he was disappointed with the results so far. I have another eye check in a week or so and I'll post the results if my blog will let me!

Halloween was exhausting this year. On Thursday, after two Halloween parties for my morning and afternoon classes, Don and I went to early vote. We had to stand in line for an hour to do so! After that I was so tired that I came home and put on my robe and we ate leftovers for dinner. On Friday I had two more parties for my morning and afternoon classes and I was so tired of Halloween that today I took down every bit of Halloween decorations from our house. We only had about 30 trick-or-treaters last night too. Anyway, welcome November! No big holidays except for cooking dinner on Thanksgiving! And Christmas is so much easier when you have adult children~just give them money and they are happy!

We did get to go to the condo last night and see Lilly in her little witch costume. She was so adorable helping her daddy answer the door for the little trick-or-treaters. Jesse still loves Halloween as much as he did all his growing up years when he used to do the "Spook Walk" at our house in Ewing, N.J. It's so fun to see him as the adult now, adding his enthusiasm to Lilly's life. I hope someday he will get to help Lilly give a Spook Walk.

Voting? This early? Of course, I wish we had voted months ago and put all the pain and agony and conflict and contention behind us already. This fall has been one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in the Shenandoah... is it as pretty where you are? Bopnopper and I went hiking up in the mountains this afternoon and took some pics (on my blog), but they don't do justice to the colors. Has the snow got to you yet? Hope your eyes get better quickly! This world is beautiful.

Yeah, there was early voting here in Utah until Friday afternoon. it lasted about a week, I think. I'm so glad to have it over with since it's supposed to rain/snow on Tuesday.

How I miss the eastern falls....it is not nearly as pretty here. The leaves all turn yellowish and then brown, and fall off. Nothing like NJ, and I think the Shenandoah valley is even more gorgeous than NJ! I'm jealous!

We did have one snowfall already and if this winter is like last winter, we are in for a lot more. This world is beautiful, and my eyes are doing ok. I'll know more after my next pressure check. Thanks for asking!

Halloween can be so exhausting. This year it was fun for me and I was almost sad when it was over. That's unusual for me because I usually don't like Halloween that much. It always used to seem like so much work. Anyway, I hope your eyes continue to improve. Thanks so much for your love and support.

I am glad that your eyes are improving, I hope the pressure continues to go down! I took the kids to vote with me today and it took maybe 20 minutes, I was so surprized I was expecting a much longer wait. And crazy you only had 30 trick or treaters, we had at least 100 between 6pm and 8pm, when I decided that my kids were in bed so I was done passing out candy. And I know Olivia loved her preschool parties so I am sure your kids did too!
