ER again!
Once more, I'm blogging about health. Some of you know that Don has been suffering much from various ailments lately. Between the eye stye that got infected, the cat bite that got infected, the swollen foot/ankle/leg, and now the headaches and vision disturbances, life has been pretty awful for Don. We think (we hope) that the migraines and vision disturbances came from a drug called Prioxicam that was given to him to bring down the swelling in the ankle and foot. He stopped the Piroxicam and started another drug after the headaches started. The second drug gave him a headache as well, so he stopped it as well. We've been to the ER, where he had a CT scan that showed nothing, to the podiatrist, where he was diagnosed with gout (which we suggested THREE MONTHS ago to the doctors), to the eye doctor (where his eyes were pronounced fine). He's had MRIs on his foot and ankle, blood work, heart ekgs and echos, more blood tests, and I can't even remember it all now. So tomorrow he is having an MRI to look for tumor, stroke, aneurysm, sinus problems, swollen pituitary glands, MS...you name it. There were no signs of these problems on the CT scan but the MRI is a more sensitive test so it could show something. In the meantime he has been home from work for a week now and can't go back until he can see the computer screen. He can't drive, use the computer, read, or do anything like that. The vision disturbances have changed and moved, sometimes being flashes and spots in his eyes and sometimes being cloudiness over his entire field of vision. We have both been extremely worried. I have a continual knot in my stomach. Neither one of us can eat much. So please remember his in your prayers. I will update when we get results from the MRI. Thanks so much.

oh man Pat, this is just no fun. I hope that you get answers soon.
I'm so sorry Pat. I will definitely be praying everything will be okay. I'm so sorry you are going through this. The poor guy must be so bored along with the stress and worry.
