An Interesting Procedure

Don had his TEE today. Contrary to how that sounds, it's not tee-hee fun. But it was fine. They sedated him, put a tube into his throat and checked around his heart and behind it mostly for clots. All was well and the doctor said he's got a strong heart and everything looked good. It only took 15 minutes but it took him about 45 to come out of the anesthesia. Then we went for more blood work. I think the neurologist is a vampire...they took at least 8 vials of blood! We stopped on the way home for gas and to eat at McDonald's. He had a parfait. His throat is a little sore now but he's doing well. We had to get up at 5:30 a.m. to get to the hospital so we were both tired and took naps. I think he slept for maybe 3 hours! Anyway, another day...tomorrow is the MRA. He thinks his vision is a little better today which is wonderful. Perhaps he is slowly healing.
