Meeting a Great Neurologist!

We went to the neurologist today. Turns out she used to live in Cherry Hill, NJ (my home town) and knows people that both Don and I know! Is that a coincidence or what? She had a glass DC temple on her table and Don asked about it, and we got to talking....it was so fun! Then she got down to business. She feels his stroke started out as cluster migraines and then turned into a stroke when he didn't get help fast enough. She is testing him for more clots in his neck and chest region, and doing a test to see behind his heart (which sounds awful, a tube down his throat, but he will be sedated). She put him on Lipitor to lower his cholesterol. Even if it turns out to be a normal level she wants it lower. We go back in July for a follow up. If anything further happens, she gave us her cell phone number and specific instructions about what to do. Warning...never let a headache go more than 3 hours! If you've taken medicine and it doesn't work, get to the ER within 3 hours. Who knew a stroke could be caused by migraines?

What a blessing! He should recover? How is his eyesight? Is he less tired?

Hi eyesight is the same. It might improve or it might not. He's still pretty tired, but maybe a little less than before. I don't know, I'm too close to the situation or something. We are both tired. I think he'll recover from the stroke, except maybe the eyes. That's where the damage occured.
